Molecular sieves come in different shapes and sizes, including beads, spheres, pellets, and powders, with different sizes. However, spherical beads have advantages over other shapes as it provides lower pressure drop, is more solid and wear resistant due to roll forming, and has good strength i.e. higher crush strength required per unit area.
Another advantage is that the bulk density of molecular sieve beads is generally higher, which means that fewer beads of molecular sieve are required to achieve the same adsorption capacity than other shapes.
What Are The Types Of Molecular Sieves?
