Carbon Deoxidizer
The carbon deoxidizer appears as dark-brown cylindrical pellets. Designed for the deoxygenation of inert gases, it directly removes trace amounts of oxygen, offering a deoxygenation capacity ten times that of conventional deoxygenation agents.
This catalyst does not require frequent regeneration, nor does it necessitate the injection of auxiliary hydrogen or other secondary gas components during operation, thereby avoiding the risk of reduced nitrogen purity associated with the introduction of additional gas additives.

FAQ
The capacity is large – typically ≥1.6 Nm³ of oxygen per kilogram of deoxidizer. Some products claim a 10% higher capacity than conventional carbon‑based deoxidizers.
It is typically used as the key material in the purification section of the nitrogen generator. Raw nitrogen (ordinary nitrogen) passes through a combustion tower filled with 3093 deoxidizer under heated conditions, thereby producing high‑purity nitrogen.
The deoxygenation depth is excellent. The treated gas can have a residual oxygen content as low as <1 ppm, and some high‑quality products can achieve 0.5 ppm.
The principle is “combustion deoxygenation”: under the action of the catalyst (active component being noble metals like palladium), oxygen (O₂) in the gas reacts with carbon (C) in the deoxidizer at a relatively low temperature to selectively form carbon dioxide (CO₂). The reaction is: C + O₂ → CO₂.
