ToggleActivated Alumina for TBC Removal
Features and Advantages
Activated alumina is made from aluminum hydroxide by dehydroxylation. It possesses strong adsorption properties and is suitable for drying various gases and liquids. It is used in the petroleum, fertilizer, and chemical industries as an adsorbent, desiccant, catalyst support, dechlorination agent, and defluorination agent.
Activated alumina desiccant also features a smooth surface, high strength, high specific surface area, a rich pore structure, excellent chemical stability, high temperature resistance, low deactivation rate, and resistance to adsorption of toxicants.
Activated Alumina for TBC
Xintao’s TBC-specific activated alumina ball is used as an adsorbent to remove TBC (tert-butylcatechol) from hydrocarbons in various industrial processes. TBC is a polymerization inhibitor, particularly useful in the production of polymers such as polyethylene and polystyrene.
This special form of activated alumina sphere is available in three sizes: 1.2-2.8mm, 1.5-3.2mm, and 2.5-4.0mm. Its unique pore structure allows it to effectively adsorb residual catalysts, catalyst residues, TBC molecules, and hydrocarbons from the production process.
