Success Story: Activated Alumina for Hydrogen Peroxide Exported to South Asia
We are proud to share a recent export experience involving activated alumina for hydrogen peroxide production. In August last year, we received an inquiry from a leading hydrogen peroxide producer in South Asia. Honored to support their process, we provided 1kg samples along with a Certificate of Analysis (COA). Our material met all technical requirements and performed favorably against competitors such as BASF and M Chemicals. As a result, Xintao was awarded an order for 14,000 kg.
Activated Alumina in Hydrogen Peroxide Production
In the production of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), activated alumina is widely used in the regeneration of the working fluid used in the anthraquinone process. Its primary function is to efficiently convert degradation products generated during the production process back into effective anthraquinone, thereby maintaining stable production operations.
Activated alumina can also serve as a support for hydrogenation catalysts/palladium catalysts. Its high surface area, controlled pore structure, and excellent mechanical strength provide an ideal dispersion platform for the catalyst, significantly improving hydrogenation efficiency. Furthermore, activated alumina exhibits excellent thermal and chemical stability, allowing it to withstand the high temperatures and chemical environments encountered during the production process, extending the catalyst’s lifespan.
