What is the Application of Molecular Sieve 13X?
13X molecular sieve is a molecular sieve with sodium X-type crystal structure. The composition is alkali metal aluminosilicate, which has a certain basicity. The effective pore size of 13X molecular sieve is 10A, which can adsorb any molecule less than 10A, and has a high adsorption force for polar molecules such as water, hydrogen sulfide, and carbon dioxide. When used in air dryers, it can achieve high-precision adsorption of water and carbon dioxide.
13x molecular sieve is often used for gas adsorption separation, such as adsorption of moisture and sulfur compounds.
Because the pore size of 13X molecular sieve is relatively large among microporous molecular sieves, it is very suitable as a carrier in catalytic reactions, so it is often used in chemical catalytic production and synthesis.
Specific applications are:
1. Purification of raw gas in the air separation unit (removal of water, carbon dioxide and some hydrocarbons at the same time)
2. Drying and desulfurization of natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas and liquid hydrocarbon
3. Deep drying of general industrial gases
4. Oxygen production
